As a pve'r I have a feeling that +5AL would be best since I continually sit at the front being pummeled by all kinds of weird stuff... however I realize I've been playing most of the game with a +26HP sword... :-/
For pvp I get the notion of +30HP being superior to the +5AL, but as I don't pvp

Persnally, +5 Al all the way (except for PvP, but I don't PvP much, as I doubt AB counts in the eyes of hardcore PvPers...), as I generally run 15%-10Al weapons, so the +5 mod helps balance that out a bit. But the more armour you have, the less useful +5 becomes, so bear that in mind.

whel i prefer +30 health bonus, cuzz most of the guys have sup rune, and it gives you -75 health bonus, and i think that a +5 armor bonus doesnt give you that much bonus. and if you wanne preffer more armor, than i'm thinking about taking platemail

I edited this a little, but this is dead on.
In short, +5 Armor is the better choice in PvE if you know that you won't be facing either armor ignoring damage or degeneration.
+30 Health is pretty good as well, and better than +5 Armor in those specific situations.
I find myself using +30 Health more often in PvE because:
(1) I like the utility of it being good against almost everything;
(2) I'm a bit too lazy to switch off between defense and health in mid-battle;
(3) I use my PvE weapons for PvP as well.
In PvP, +30 Health rules the day, IMO, as most damage directed towards warriors are either armor ignoring, degeneration or spike. That extra health can buy you that split second that the monk needs to Infuse you from certain death.

Also, 515 health (+30 weapon and shield) + 10% morale = Unspikable.

+30 health is the way to go, if you are low on funds get +29 for a lot less
+5 isn't terrible if you are short on funds

Question to all the warriors saying +30 health in PvE, how often in a fight is your health below 100? Below 50? Below 30? That +5 armour is going to reduce a lot of damage over time, and unless you actually drop to 30 health your upgrade isn't doing anything to help you. Even the enemies that toss around degen are going to attack you while that is happening.

I prefer +5 armor.
You bring your +30 health mod and we will see who can solo the mobs I do.
Your 30 health will be gone in 1 hit while my +5 armor will be there the whole fight helping me take lower dmg.
Since the recent to nerf to shields and absorption runes its even more important to get +5 armor on your weapon.

+30hp also makes it easier for people to heal you since you are up for longer. Both are good choices as a War, though.

The only hit point that matters is the one that takes you from 1 to 0. As long as you are alive, HP is irrelavant.
Armor is what matters. Armor is what keeps you alive, not HP.
(the only possible exception being heavy spike in PvP)

In PvE, +5 armor without a doubt. The only damage you really face is pressure damage, and the bonus armor helps relieve some pressure. The only time the +30 HP is useful is if your health gets below 30, and that should happen so rarely that it is not worth it.
The best comparison I can think of is to energy. A common saying with energy is "it's not how much max energy how have, it's how you maintain it." And I believe this is a similar debate.

IMO i think +30 hp goes well only if u have a shield with +30hp, having and extra 60hp isnt bad is it but if your shield doesnt have the +30 then +5 is better, you can lose 30hp in one hit from an axe!

agreed : ) ..having the +5 throughout the fight works better than the 30hp that'll disappear in a hit or two...with that said..adding up all the extra hp's from mods (weap,shield,certain armors) can be quite helpful since the buff to major runes...-35 health with +30 health brings it to -5 health loss for an extra point into a line..iv'e been experimenting with different rune setups and I gotta say im loving the new major runes..just my 3 cents worth
